Part-time / Direct company roles

A place at the correspondence desk

Choose the part of correspondence work that best matches your interests: sorting, routing notes, editing references, or keeping an index. The areas below concern Higkel LLC's own direct part-time work. Descriptions explain possible responsibilities and do not promise an opening, a schedule, or an employment offer. SMS updates remain a separate, optional choice.

Role 01

Inbox Categorization Assistant

Part-time · Direct company role

This part-time area concerns the organization of correspondence into understandable groups. It calls for careful reading, consistent labels, and brief notes on uncertain cases. Classification supports later review; it does not authorize replies or decisions on another person's behalf.

  • Suggest categories using the available subject and message context.
  • Flag messages that do not fit an established category.

Role 02

Message Routing Notes Assistant

Part-time · Direct company role

Work in this area centers on preparing context for a possible handoff. A useful note identifies the question, relevant reference, and unresolved detail without inventing an answer. Routing assistance is an organizational responsibility, separate from approval, management, or external representation.

  • Describe the requested action without changing its meaning.
  • Identify missing context before suggesting a routing note.

Role 03

Reply Reference Editor

Part-time · Direct company role

This role area gives existing reference material a careful editorial read. Attention goes to wording, repeated passages, and uncertain details that should be checked by the appropriate reviewer. Preparing a reference does not include making commitments or independently sending company responses.

  • Compare draft wording with the supplied reference material.
  • Mark ambiguous statements and preserve unresolved questions.

Role 04

Correspondence Index Clerk

Part-time · Direct company role

An index should help a reader recognize what a record contains before opening it. This part-time area covers descriptive labels, reference ordering, and visible gaps in an index. It favors consistent organization over assumptions about missing correspondence or its outcome.

  • Write descriptive labels for correspondence reference entries.
  • Check related entries for inconsistent dates or naming.
